Who can use Dialed

Dialed is for people aged 13 and up. If you are under the age of adulthood where you live, make sure a parent or guardian is fine with you using it.

The planning and focus features work on your iPhone with no account. An account is only needed for things that need a server: backup, friends, challenges and crews.

Your account

  • Keep your sign-in details to yourself. What happens on your account is your responsibility.
  • Your username and first name are visible to people you choose to connect with. Pick ones you would be happy for a friend, a teacher or a parent to read.
  • Don't pretend to be someone else.
  • You can delete your account at any time in Settings › Account › Delete account. That deletes your data from our server, as described in the Privacy Policy.

How to behave

Friends, challenges and crews let you share a small amount with other people. Dialed has no messaging, but you do type usernames, challenge titles and crew names that others can read. Don't use any of them, or any other part of Dialed, to:

  • bully, harass, threaten or single out anyone;
  • post or share anything sexual, hateful, violent, or that encourages self-harm or eating disorders;
  • pretend to be another person, or use a name that is offensive;
  • spam people or send repeated unwanted requests;
  • break the law, or try to get around, break or overload the app or its servers;
  • collect other people's information.

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour in Dialed.

Reporting and blocking

You can report or block anyone from Friends, a challenge or a crew. Blocking takes effect straight away: you and that person disappear from each other's friends, challenges and crews. Reports are read by us, and we aim to look at each one within 24 hours.

What we can do

If someone breaks these rules, we may remove content (such as a challenge title or a crew name), remove them from a crew or challenge, or ban the account. A ban ends their access to friends, challenges and crews and stops them signing in again. We may do this without warning when something is serious. Dialed on your own phone, with your own plans, keeps working. If you think a ban was a mistake, write to us at the address below.

Dialed Pro and Dialed Max

  • Pro and Max are auto-renewing subscriptions, sold monthly or yearly through the App Store. Prices are shown before you buy, in your local currency.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm. Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
  • Manage or cancel any time in iPhone Settings › your name › Subscriptions, or in Dialed › Settings. Deleting the app or your Dialed account does not cancel a subscription.
  • If an introductory offer or free trial is shown, it ends when the trial does and the first charge follows, unless you cancel before then. Any unused part of a trial is lost when you buy a subscription.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under its own rules (reportaproblem.apple.com).
  • The core planning and focus app stays free. Subscriptions add extra features and never lock your own plans away.
  • These subscription terms sit on top of Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement (apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula), which also applies to Dialed. If the two disagree about the licence of the app itself, Apple's applies.

Screen Time and blocking

Blocking apps uses Apple's Screen Time. Dialed only blocks what you choose, and your choice stays on your iPhone. You can turn blocking off at any time in the app or in iPhone Settings. Blocking, alarms and reminders are tools to help you; they can be late or fail (for example if the phone is off, in low-power mode or iOS stops an extension), so don't rely on Dialed for anything where being late would be dangerous.

Health, study and wellbeing

Dialed is not medical, mental health or professional advice. Suggestions in the app (including plans made by Ask Dia) are only suggestions. If you are struggling, please talk to someone you trust or a professional.

Our work and your content

Dialed, its name, orb, designs and code belong to us or our licensors. You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app. Don't copy it, take it apart or resell it.

What you write in the app (your tasks, notes, goals) stays yours. For anything others can see (your username, first name, challenge titles, crew names), you give us permission to store and show it to the people you chose, only to run the app.

The service

We try to keep Dialed working, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. Features that need a server (backup, friends, challenges, crews, alerts) may be down for a while, change, or be retired. We will give notice in the app for big changes where we can.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Dialed is provided "as is", and we are not responsible for losses that come from using it or not being able to use it, such as a missed alarm or a blocked app that opened anyway. Nothing here limits rights you have by law that can't be limited, or liability that can't be excluded.

Changes

We may update these terms. If the change matters, the app will tell you. Continuing to use Dialed after a change means you accept it. The current version is always in Settings › Terms of Use.
